It is reported that the Utah Division of Securities is pressing a civil complaint against Theodore L. Hansen and Charles W. Hanna, Esquire for securities fraud involving a real estate transaction. Apparently, they duped one Ruth Jepson into giving them $100,000.00 purportedly for the purchase of a real estate investment, but within two days of getting her money, they spent over $90,000.00 of it paying their own bills...Doncha love it??!! The Division's Media Alert will soon appear here for your personal review. If anyone has updates on this case, please add them.

The internet is a wonderful thing. stumbled across Ted Hansen, et al in Panguitch, Utah of all places, a twilight zone episode in the flesh. Seems Ted and friends are at it again buying truck stops, moving cash, not paying fuel suppliers [this Junction Market XVII, LLC was without gas for over a week] promising all kinds of things for the sad little cafe here and basically scamming all including employees. Several have their paychecks bounced soon after the purchase of the Owens travel center, later sold to somebody named Fox who apparently defaulted or the entire crew got caught doing or selling meth here... everyone is on meth or probation for doing something stupid it seems. Anyway, Ted's "management" promised all sorts of things that never materialized, the cafe was a disaster despite efforts to make it a real restaurant and the "managers" are telling fired employees that they don't have to pay them for 72 hours. The law in Utah is within 24 hours and they know this. See
34-28-5. Separation from payroll -- Resignation -- Cessation because of industrial dispute.
(1) (a) Whenever an employer separates an employee from the employer's payroll the unpaid wages of the employee become due immediately, and the employer shall pay the wages to the employee within 24 hours of the time of separation at the specified place of payment.
(b) (i) In case of failure to pay wages due an employee within 24 hours of written demand, the wages of the employee shall continue from the date of demand until paid, but in no event to exceed 60 days, at the same rate that the employee received at the time of separation.
(ii) The employee may recover the penalty thus accruing to the employee in a civil action. This action shall be commenced within 60 days from the date of separation.
This in addition to their "motel" being infested with bedbugs. so Ted and Charlie and company have 17 of these cash machines running and are likely to do the same as before... see http://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-10th-circuit/1622640.html
Yes, Ted has $15,000,000 in liens and judgements against him and seems to promote those who "manage" through intimidation and "covering one's ass".
Can you discuss this with me? I habe more info
Ted has caused me to file bankruptcy, ruined my credit and destroyed my life, he is being sentenced to prison March 23 in Utah but that does not help me get my money back
